About This Game:
Kingdoms and Castles is a medieval city-building simulation about transforming a small settlement into a large fortified kingdom. Players decide where homes, farms, industries, roads, defenses, and public services should be constructed while keeping citizens supplied with food and useful employment.
Growth brings additional challenges because a larger population requires more resources and becomes a more valuable target for outside threats. Vikings can attack settlements, dragons may appear from the sky, and poor planning can leave citizens vulnerable to shortages or disease.
How the Gameplay Works
Players begin with a small number of villagers and gradually place buildings across an island. Citizens automatically take jobs in farms, quarries, foresters, mines, and other workplaces while resources are collected for further construction.
Walls, towers, and other defenses help protect the expanding kingdom from attacks. Happiness, food supply, housing, health, and access to services influence population growth, while trade and interaction with neighboring kingdoms add further strategic options.
