About This Game:
Door Kickers: Action Squad takes the SWAT theme of the original Door Kickers and turns it into a fast side-scrolling action game. Players become heavily armed officers sent into buildings across Nowhere City, where criminals, hostages, traps, and other hazards are waiting behind almost every door.
The game uses a retro-inspired presentation while offering several playable characters with different weapons, abilities, and progression options. Missions are designed for quick repeated attempts, allowing players to learn enemy positions, change their equipment, and try another approach after a failed operation.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through two-dimensional levels room by room, opening doors carefully and deciding when to enter, take cover, shoot, reload, or use special equipment. Enemies can react quickly when they see the officer, so positioning and weapon control are important even though the game has a more arcade-like style than the original Door Kickers.
Defeating enemies and completing objectives earns points that can be used for Strategic Abilities or saved for powerful character-specific Ultimate abilities. Different playable classes encourage different approaches, while local and online cooperative play allows two officers to tackle missions together.
