Evil Islands is a fantasy role-playing game combining real-time tactical combat, character development, stealth, and party-based adventuring. The story follows a mysterious hero who awakens with little knowledge of his identity and gradually becomes involved in conflicts spanning several dangerous islands filled with monsters, rival factions, ancient ruins, and magical threats.
Rather than relying entirely on direct combat, the game encourages players to study enemies, approach encounters carefully, and decide whether fighting, sneaking, or using ranged attacks offers the safest solution. Equipment, statistics, skills, and party composition all influence how difficult encounters become.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control their hero and eventually additional party members from an overhead perspective. Characters can move normally, crouch for stealth, attack individual body areas, use bows or spells from a distance, and equip weapons and armor suited to different situations.
Experience earned through missions is used to improve attributes and skills, while collected materials and equipment help strengthen the party. Many locations contain enemies that can overwhelm an unprepared group, making scouting and carefully planned attacks valuable parts of progression.
