About This Game:
GUILTY GEAR 2 OVERTURE takes the Guilty Gear series away from traditional one-on-one fighting and combines third-person action with real-time battlefield strategy. The story follows Sol Badguy during a new conflict involving the Kingdom of Illyria, mysterious enemies, and events connected to the larger Guilty Gear universe.

Instead of remaining inside a fighting arena, characters move freely across large battlefields while commanding groups of units. Players personally participate in combat while also capturing territory and managing forces, creating a hybrid between an action game and a strategy title.

How the Gameplay Works
Players directly control a powerful Master character capable of melee attacks, special abilities, defensive moves, and combinations. At the same time, servant units can be summoned and sent toward strategic locations or enemy forces around the map.

Capturing Ghosts provides resources and expands control of the battlefield, while different servant types have advantages against particular enemy units. Victory requires balancing personal combat with troop deployment and protecting the player’s own Masterghost from enemy attacks.
