I Expect You To Die 1 is a virtual-reality puzzle game that places the player in the role of a secret agent repeatedly trapped in elaborate death scenarios. Missions parody classic spy films, with villains, gadgets, lasers, poison, explosives, and absurdly complicated devices surrounding the player’s seated position.
The game is built around experimentation. Every mission initially looks like a small interactive room, but almost every object can contain a clue, tool, trap, or distraction. Failing is expected, and each death usually teaches the player something useful about the correct sequence of actions.
How the Gameplay Works
Players use motion controls to grab, inspect, combine, throw, and manipulate objects. A telekinetic ability lets distant items be pulled closer without leaving the seated play area.
