The House of Da Vinci 2 is a first-person puzzle adventure that continues the story of Giacomo, an apprentice of Leonardo da Vinci. The journey moves through Renaissance locations filled with mechanical inventions, locked chambers, hidden mechanisms, and devices connected to a larger mystery surrounding Leonardo and a secretive organization.
The sequel expands the original game’s puzzle-box style with more elaborate machinery and a greater focus on manipulating time. Detailed environments are inspired by Renaissance engineering and architecture, giving each room the appearance of a complex mechanical puzzle waiting to be understood.
How the Gameplay Works
Players examine objects closely, rotate mechanical parts, slide switches, enter combinations, and search for hidden compartments. Many puzzles are made from several connected mechanisms, requiring smaller problems to be solved before a larger device can be activated.
A special device allows Giacomo to observe events from the past and sometimes change elements that affect the present. Environmental clues, symbols, documents, and machine behavior help reveal solutions. Progress depends on careful observation rather than combat or fast reactions.
