About This Game:
Niffelheim is a side-scrolling survival action RPG inspired by Norse mythology. Players control a fallen warrior whose soul has become trapped in the hostile realm of Niffelheim instead of reaching Valhalla. Escaping requires surviving dangerous creatures, exploring underground areas, gathering resources, and collecting the pieces needed to open the path toward Asgard.
The game combines survival systems with crafting, base development, dungeon exploration, combat, and character progression. Players must maintain food and equipment while defending their territory from monsters and rival forces.
How the Gameplay Works
Players gather wood, stone, ore, food, plants, and other resources from the surrounding world. Materials can be turned into weapons, armor, meals, potions, tools, and improvements for the character’s fortress. Hunting and farming provide additional ways to maintain a steady food supply.
Underground mines and dungeons contain valuable materials along with dangerous enemies and bosses. Combat uses melee and ranged equipment, while stronger gear becomes necessary as tougher creatures appear. Exploration and boss victories eventually provide the special items required to work toward escaping Niffelheim.
