About This Game:
Tonight We Riot is a side-scrolling action game built around controlling a growing crowd of workers rather than relying on a single hero. Set in a fictional society dominated by wealthy corporations and authoritarian forces, the campaign follows an uprising as workers move through streets, industrial areas, and heavily defended locations.
The game combines arcade-style combat with a crowd-management system where rescued workers join the group and fight alongside the player. Keeping as many people alive as possible increases the strength of the uprising and gives the group a better chance against larger enemy forces.
How the Gameplay Works
Players direct the crowd through side-scrolling stages while attacking police, security forces, vehicles, and other hostile units. Different workers can carry weapons or use objects found in the environment, while rescued characters increase the size of the group.
Members of the crowd can be lost during combat, so positioning and keeping the group together is important. New weapons and equipment become available as stages are completed. The campaign can also be played cooperatively, allowing two players to direct the uprising together.
