About This Game:
Iron Marines is a science-fiction real-time strategy game from Ironhide Game Studio that sends players across distant planets filled with hostile aliens, machines, monsters, and other threats. Instead of building enormous traditional RTS armies, the game focuses on smaller groups of mobile combat units supported by powerful heroes and battlefield abilities.
The campaign moves across multiple planets and includes rescue operations, defensive missions, assaults, sabotage, and encounters with large enemy forces. Soldiers, mechs, alien allies, special weapons, and orbital support provide different ways to deal with changing battlefield situations.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move squads around the battlefield in real time, capture useful positions, construct defensive installations, and respond to enemies approaching from different directions. Certain troop groups can change their combat role during a mission, allowing the army to adapt without returning to a base.
A hero fights alongside the army and can be upgraded with stronger abilities. Players can also call in orbital strikes, deploy mines, build turrets, use support troops, and unlock permanent improvements between missions. Careful positioning becomes increasingly important when stronger enemy groups and larger creatures appear.
