About This Game:
SHOCK TROOPERS is a fast arcade run-and-gun shooter originally released for the Neo Geo. A terrorist organization known as the Bloody Scorpions has kidnapped Dr. George Diamond and his granddaughter, forcing an international group of soldiers to launch a rescue operation through heavily defended enemy territory.
The game offers eight playable soldiers with differences in movement, durability, and special attacks. Instead of following a single fixed route from beginning to end, players can choose between different paths through the campaign, giving later playthroughs different environments and encounters.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move in eight directions while firing at waves of soldiers, vehicles, turrets, and other enemies from an overhead perspective. Weapons can be aimed while moving, while a dedicated evasive maneuver helps avoid incoming bullets and dangerous attacks during crowded encounters.
Lonely Wolf mode lets the player complete the game with one chosen soldier, while Team Battle allows three characters to be selected and switched during the action. Each character has a different special weapon, making team selection useful when preparing for different enemy groups and boss battles.
