About This Game:
Kingpin: Life of Crime is a gritty first-person shooter set in a violent urban world controlled by criminal gangs. After being badly beaten by local thugs, the unnamed protagonist begins working his way through the city’s underworld with the goal of building enough power to take revenge and eventually challenge the Kingpin himself.
The game’s districts are populated by gang members, criminals, bartenders, shopkeepers, and other characters who can react differently depending on the player’s behavior. Money earned or stolen during the campaign can be used to purchase weapons and equipment, while useful criminals can sometimes be recruited into the player’s own gang.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore urban areas in first person while completing objectives, speaking with characters, purchasing equipment, and fighting rival gangs. Weapons range from basic firearms to heavier equipment that becomes available as the player gains access to more dangerous parts of the city.
Recruited gang members can be ordered to follow, attack enemies, defend positions, or perform useful tasks such as safe-cracking. Money therefore serves as more than a score, since it can be used to improve the player’s arsenal and strengthen the group before taking on more powerful opponents.
