About This Game:
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is an atmospheric platforming adventure set in the dying forest of Nibel. Players control Ori, a small guardian spirit separated from the Spirit Tree after a devastating event damages the forest. Joined by a glowing spirit named Sein, Ori travels through dangerous regions in an attempt to restore balance and bring life back to Nibel.
The Definitive Edition expands the original adventure with additional areas, abilities, story moments, and convenience features. Its hand-painted environments, orchestral soundtrack, emotional storytelling, and precise movement are combined with a connected world that gradually opens as Ori learns new abilities.
How the Gameplay Works
Ori begins with basic movement but gradually learns abilities that improve jumping, climbing, attacking, and traversal. New powers make it possible to cross hazards and enter areas that were previously unreachable. One of the most important abilities allows Ori to redirect momentum from enemies and projectiles to launch through the environment.
Players collect experience for ability upgrades while searching for health and energy improvements hidden across the map. Combat is handled largely through Sein and movement-based abilities, while major escape sequences place a strong emphasis on precise platforming. The Definitive Edition also introduces additional traversal abilities and new areas to explore.
