Outside the Blocks is a relaxing creative sandbox centered on building detailed miniature environments and dioramas. Instead of managing an economy, defending a settlement, or completing a long list of objectives, players are given a collection of construction and decoration tools and encouraged to create scenes at their own pace. Landscapes can be reshaped before buildings, pathways, vegetation, props, and other details are placed around them.
Its modular construction system makes it possible to assemble structures from individual sections rather than relying entirely on finished buildings. Materials can be adjusted to change the appearance of objects, while decorative props and animated characters help make finished scenes feel more alive. Completed creations can then be viewed as personal miniature worlds.
How the Gameplay Works
Players begin with an open area and use terrain tools to shape the basic environment. Modular building pieces can then be connected to create houses and other structures, with larger sections adjustable through building tools that simplify editing.
