About This Game:
Pathologic 3 is a psychological horror adventure that places players in the role of physician and researcher Daniil Dankovsky. He arrives in a remote town while investigating the possibility of immortality, only to discover that the man he hoped to study is dead and a deadly plague is spreading through the population. With only twelve days available, Daniil must attempt to understand the disease and prevent the town from collapsing.
Medicine is only one part of the crisis. Political decisions, quarantines, public order, limited supplies, and Daniil’s own mental state can all change what happens. Time itself also becomes a tool, allowing mistakes to be revisited and previous decisions to be approached differently.
How the Gameplay Works
Patients are examined face to face, with players gathering information, identifying symptoms, and separating useful evidence from lies or incomplete stories. Correct diagnoses bring Daniil closer to understanding the plague and developing a vaccine, but every medical investigation consumes valuable time.
Players can also impose rules on the town, including quarantines, curfews, medicine confiscation, vaccination programs, and patrols. Decisions may save lives while making the population increasingly hostile. When an important choice goes badly, time can be rewound to explore another route through the narrative, although maintaining Daniil’s mental stability creates another challenge.
