Reigns: Her Majesty is a decision-based strategy game in which players rule as a succession of queens. Advisers, nobles, religious leaders, citizens, and unusual visitors continually present requests that must be accepted or rejected by swiping cards left or right.
Every decision can alter the balance between the kingdom’s major powers. Allowing any one group to become too strong or too weak can end the current queen’s reign, but the wider story continues through future rulers.
How the Gameplay Works
Each card presents a situation and two possible responses. Before committing, players can see which categories are likely to change, but not the exact size of the effect, making every decision a balance between immediate needs and future risk.
New characters, objects, events, and story threads are discovered across repeated reigns. Certain items can be used during conversations to reveal additional choices and help solve longer-running mysteries.
