About This Game:
Roach Post is a roguelite puzzle game about restoring an abandoned post office on behalf of the Royal Postal Academy. Instead of operating the building alone, the player can recruit a workforce made up of surprisingly helpful cockroaches. Customers arrive with differently shaped parcels and requests, while each shift challenges the player to prepare outgoing packages efficiently enough to satisfy both customers and postal inspectors.
The unusual mailing process revolves around stamps shaped like polyomino pieces. Different stamps need to be arranged across parcels to score points and create useful combinations. More than forty potential roach workers and numerous upgrades allow each run to develop differently as the post office becomes more successful.
How the Gameplay Works
Players receive packages and place stamps of different shapes onto the available space. Positioning matters because colors can create useful synergies or unwanted conflicts, turning every parcel into a compact placement puzzle. Customers also have timers and special requests, so taking too long on one package can create problems elsewhere.
Before a shift, players can choose starting conditions and difficulty, then assemble a team of roach workers that provides different bonuses. Useful workers can be improved while unwanted employees can be removed. Successful shifts restore the post office and unlock additional options, but inspectors and grade requirements create ongoing pressure to maintain good performance.
