Rock Simulator is a deliberately minimalist simulation in which players experience existence from the perspective of a rock. There are no urgent missions, enemies, or complicated survival systems; the main objective is simply to remain in place, observe the environment, and accumulate progress over time.
Its intentionally absurd concept is combined with relaxing natural scenery and a progression system that provides new landscapes and cosmetic appearances. What begins as a joke therefore includes a surprising amount of unlockable content for players willing to continue their rocky existence.
How the Gameplay Works
The selected rock remains in an environment while experience and resources gradually accumulate. Gaining enough progress opens additional maps, allowing the same wonderfully inactive lifestyle to continue in different natural surroundings.
Earned stones can be used to unlock cosmetic rock skins, including increasingly unusual appearances. Online cooperative support also allows multiple players to share the deeply uneventful experience of existing as rocks together.
