About This Game:
Shadowgrounds Survivor is a top-down science-fiction shooter set during the alien invasion of Jupiter’s moon Ganymede. Designed as a standalone spin-off and continuation of Shadowgrounds, the game follows three survivors who experience different parts of the conflict while humanity’s remaining forces struggle against the attacking creatures.
Each playable character has different strengths and combat abilities, while an RPG-style progression system allows weapons and character skills to become stronger over time. The campaign introduces snowy environments, abandoned tunnels, damaged colonies, and other areas under heavy alien attack.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control their character from an overhead perspective while moving through dark environments and firing at large groups of aliens. Weapons can be upgraded as the campaign progresses, while individual characters gain new abilities and special attacks suited to different combat styles.
Environmental objects and physics add extra movement and destruction during firefights. Sentry turrets and a powerful mech provide additional firepower during certain encounters. Separate from the story campaign, Survival mode concentrates on defeating continuous waves of enemies and staying alive for as long as possible.
