About This Game:
SHOCK TROOPERS: 2ND SQUAD is an arcade run-and-gun action game where heavily armed soldiers fight through waves of enemies across military bases, city streets, industrial zones, and other combat areas. The game follows a small group of selectable characters as they attempt to stop a powerful organization threatening the world with advanced military technology.
Compared with the first Shock Troopers, the sequel uses larger character sprites and more detailed visual effects while keeping the fast arcade pace. Firearms, explosives, vehicles, power-ups, and boss encounters keep stages constantly moving forward.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move freely around the screen while firing in multiple directions, avoiding bullets, and defeating enemy soldiers. Each character has different attributes, and special attacks can quickly damage groups of enemies when the screen becomes crowded. Weapons and bonus items are collected by destroying objects or defeating particular opponents.
Certain sections allow players to enter vehicles and use their heavier weapons against enemy forces. Stages are filled with infantry, turrets, armored units, and large bosses that use increasingly complex attack patterns. The game supports solo play as well as cooperative arcade-style action with another player.
