About This Game:
Sinking Island is a detective adventure created by Benoît Sokal. Investigator Jack Norm arrives on the tropical island of Sagorah after wealthy businessman Walter Jones is discovered dead near the enormous tower hotel he constructed for his family and associates.
Almost everyone on the island has a possible reason to want Jones dead, leaving Norm to investigate family members, employees, and other suspects. At the same time, the island itself is becoming increasingly unstable, placing a natural deadline over the murder investigation.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore the hotel and surrounding island, question suspects, photograph evidence, examine objects, and collect documents. Clues are stored in an investigation interface where information can be reviewed and connected.
Progress involves constructing answers to major investigative questions using the evidence gathered. Depending on the selected mode, time can place additional pressure on the case, forcing players to prioritize interviews and locations before conditions on the island worsen.
