About This Game:
Test Drive Unlimited combines open-world driving with a lifestyle-focused progression system across a large recreation of the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Players arrive with limited money, purchase a vehicle and a home, then build a collection of cars and motorcycles while discovering races, dealerships, shops, challenges, and scenic roads.
Unlike racing games built entirely around menus and closed circuits, most activities are reached by physically driving through the island. Performance vehicles share the road with normal traffic, creating an experience that mixes competitive racing with relaxed cruising and car collecting.
How the Gameplay Works
Players freely explore Oahu before entering races, time trials, speed challenges, delivery jobs, and other activities. Winning events provides money that can be spent on new vehicles, houses with larger garages, clothing, and performance improvements.
Different cars and motorcycles have their own acceleration, handling, and speed characteristics. Police can respond to dangerous driving on public roads, while online features allow other players to appear in the same open world and compete or cruise together.
