About This Game:
The Lion King is a side-scrolling platform game based on Disney’s animated film. Players follow Simba from his early adventures as a cub through his return to Pride Rock as an adult, with stages inspired by locations and events from the movie.
The game combines traditional running and jumping stages with chase sequences, animal-assisted platforming, environmental hazards, and combat. Simba’s abilities also change as he grows, giving the later stages a different feel from the early portions of the adventure.
How the Gameplay Works
Young Simba relies on jumping, rolling, and his roar to navigate stages and deal with certain enemies. Platforming often requires bouncing from animals, swinging from objects, avoiding stampedes, and memorizing the timing of moving hazards.
Adult Simba gains stronger combat abilities, including claw and melee attacks that allow him to directly fight larger enemies. Health and roar upgrades can be found in stages, while bonus areas and collectibles reward players who explore beyond the main route.
