About This Game:
The Unliving is a dark fantasy action roguelite where players control a necromancer who raises fallen enemies as undead servants. Instead of fighting alone, the player gradually builds a moving army of skeletons, creatures, and corrupted warriors across each run.
The game combines real-time combat with army management. Every enemy killed can become a potential resource, so battles are also opportunities to grow the necromancer’s forces.
How the Gameplay Works
Players cast spells, move through hostile areas, kill enemies, and resurrect corpses into allied units. Different undead types have unique abilities, and some can be sacrificed to trigger powerful effects.
Run-based upgrades improve spells, minions, and survivability, while bosses demand good control of the undead army. Death resets much of the current run, but permanent progression opens new powers and options. The central strategy is deciding when to preserve minions and when to sacrifice them for immediate advantage. Those features support one another during normal play, while spellcasting becomes increasingly important as the difficulty rises. How to Install:
