About This Game:
This Is the Police 2 expands the police-management formula of the original game with deeper officer management, investigations, difficult decisions, and tactical operations. The story moves to the remote town of Sharpwood, where law enforcement operates under difficult conditions and the line separating proper police work from questionable behavior is often unclear.
The game continues to mix management with a heavily narrative-driven structure. Players must deal with individual officers, criminals, local problems, internal conflicts, and decisions that can have consequences later in the story. Compared with the first game, the sequel places greater emphasis on the personalities and abilities of individual police officers.
How the Gameplay Works
Much of the game revolves around running the sheriff’s department. Players decide which officers report for duty, assign them to incidents, investigate crimes, question suspects, and manage the limited personnel available each day. Officers have different skills and characteristics, making the choice of who to send to an emergency important.
Certain situations move away from the management screen and become turn-based tactical missions. During these operations, officers are controlled individually as they move through an area, use cover, arrest suspects, and deal with armed resistance. Story choices, police management, investigations, and tactical encounters are tied together as the situation in Sharpwood becomes increasingly complicated.
