About This Game:
This War of Mine: Complete Edition is a survival management game that presents war from the perspective of civilians trapped inside a besieged city. Instead of controlling soldiers on a battlefield, players manage ordinary survivors living inside a damaged shelter and trying to endure until a ceasefire arrives. Food shortages, sickness, cold weather, injuries, depression, crime, and difficult moral decisions can become as dangerous as armed enemies.
The Complete Edition combines the original game with Anniversary Edition content, The Little Ones expansion, and the complete set of This War of Mine Stories. Children can become part of survivor groups through The Little Ones, while the Stories campaigns provide more structured narratives centered around specific characters and events. Different survivor combinations and randomized conditions make each attempt develop differently.
How the Gameplay Works
During the day, survivors remain inside their shelter and can cook meals, craft tools, build beds, create heaters, produce medicine, repair equipment, and improve living conditions. Each person has different strengths and weaknesses, while hunger, wounds, illness, fatigue, and emotional state need constant attention. Limited materials force players to decide which improvements are most important.
At night, one survivor can travel to another location to search for food, medicine, weapons, and construction materials while others remain behind to sleep or guard the shelter. Scavenging areas may contain traders, civilians, thieves, soldiers, or other survivors, and players can choose to help, steal, fight, or avoid them. These decisions can affect morale and contribute to the eventual outcome for individual characters.
