About This Game:
Resident Evil Village is a first-person survival horror game that continues the story of Ethan Winters several years after Resident Evil 7. Ethan has attempted to rebuild a peaceful life with Mia and their daughter Rose, but another violent incident sends him into a remote European village filled with terrifying creatures and strange inhabitants. His search for Rose leads him into locations controlled by powerful figures connected to Mother Miranda.

The game combines horror, exploration, puzzles, gun combat, and resource management with a stronger emphasis on action than its immediate predecessor. Ethan travels through the central village and several surrounding locations, including Castle Dimitrescu, abandoned houses, reservoirs, underground areas, and industrial facilities. Each major region introduces different enemies and its own style of horror.

How the Gameplay Works
Players explore from a first-person perspective while searching for keys, solving puzzles, collecting treasures, and fighting creatures such as Lycans. Pistols, shotguns, rifles, explosives, and heavier weapons are available, but ammunition and healing supplies must still be managed carefully. Ethan can block incoming attacks to reduce damage and use environmental space to avoid being surrounded.

The Duke serves as a merchant who sells ammunition, supplies, weapons, inventory upgrades, and firearm improvements. Treasures collected while exploring can be sold for Lei, while animals can be hunted and their ingredients given to the Duke for meals that permanently improve selected character attributes. The attaché-case inventory requires players to organize equipment efficiently, and The Mercenaries provides an additional score-focused combat mode.
