About This Game:
Thunder Spikes Volleyball is a 2D sports game that aims to give players direct control over the major actions used in volleyball. Serves, spikes, tips, blocks, and diving saves can all be performed manually, creating matches where positioning and reading the opponent are as important as reaction speed.
More than 1,500 frames of hand-drawn animation give players fluid movement across courts ranging from small playgrounds and school gyms to professional stadiums. National teams provide the basis for the single-player Arcade Mode.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move athletes around a side-view court and control individual volleyball actions. During an attack, they can read the opposing defense and choose between powerful spikes, softer tips, and different placements, while defenders can attempt blocks or diving saves.
Arcade Mode lets players face and unlock national teams on the way toward winning the cup. Local multiplayer supports matches against another player, with Steam Remote Play Together providing another way to play those local matches online.
