About This Game:
Time Recoil is a top-down action shooter built around time manipulation and destructive environments. Players control Alexa, a time-traveling operative fighting against a scientist whose actions threaten the world. Missions send her into different moments in time to eliminate targets and change events before a disastrous future can occur.
The central mechanic rewards aggressive and accurate combat. Eliminating enemies can slow the world around Alexa, giving the player more time to line up additional attacks and create chains of kills that unlock increasingly powerful special moves.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through overhead environments while aiming firearms independently toward enemies. Killing an opponent activates slow motion, and continuing the streak extends the advantage while allowing the player to move through dangerous rooms more efficiently.
Longer kill chains unlock abilities capable of smashing through walls or eliminating groups of enemies. Buildings contain destructible sections, allowing powers and gunfire to create alternate routes instead of always relying on existing doors and corridors.
