About This Game:
Tomb Raider: Game of the Year Edition follows a younger Lara Croft at the beginning of her transformation into an experienced survivor and adventurer. After the research ship Endurance is wrecked near the mysterious island of Yamatai, Lara and the remaining crew members become trapped among dangerous wildlife, hostile inhabitants, ancient ruins, and supernatural mysteries.
The Game of the Year Edition includes the main 2013 adventure together with additional downloadable content. The campaign combines cinematic storytelling, exploration, climbing, survival-focused combat, optional tombs, equipment upgrades, and large environments that can be revisited as Lara learns new skills.
How the Gameplay Works
Lara explores the island by climbing walls, crossing ropes, jumping between structures, using ziplines, and navigating dangerous terrain. Combat combines bows, pistols, rifles, shotguns, stealth takedowns, and environmental attacks. Cover is handled dynamically as Lara moves around hostile areas.
Experience points unlock new survival and combat skills, while salvage collected from containers and enemies can improve weapons. New tools gradually open paths that were inaccessible earlier. Optional tombs contain environmental puzzles and rewards, encouraging players to explore beyond the main story route.
