Trine 2: Complete Story is a fantasy puzzle-platforming adventure following Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief through a colorful world filled with goblins, magical creatures, dangerous machinery, and environmental puzzles. Each hero provides abilities that interact differently with the physics-driven surroundings.
The Complete Story edition combines the original Trine 2 campaign with the Goblin Menace expansion and the Dwarven Caverns level. This creates a longer continuous adventure with additional stages, enemies, environments, and challenges beyond the original release.
How the Gameplay Works
Players switch between the three heroes whenever their abilities are needed. Amadeus creates and moves objects, Pontius handles close combat and heavy physical tasks, while Zoya uses arrows and her grappling hook to reach difficult areas or activate distant objects.
Puzzles make use of water, fire, gravity, movable objects, and magical interactions. Many challenges allow several possible solutions rather than demanding one exact method. The entire adventure can also be played cooperatively, where different players control heroes simultaneously and combine their abilities.
