Webbed is a cheerful 2D platforming adventure about a small spider trying to rescue her boyfriend after he is captured by a bowerbird. Instead of fighting through the world like a traditional action hero, the spider relies on agility, strong silk, and help from friendly insects found throughout the environment.
The game’s physics-driven web system allows players to create their own solutions to many movement problems. Threads can connect surfaces, build bridges, create shapes, and provide swinging points, making experimentation an important part of exploration.
How the Gameplay Works
Players crawl across surfaces, jump, swing from silk, and fire web strands toward almost any suitable point. Webs remain in the environment and can support objects or the spider, allowing custom structures to be created instead of relying only on predefined platforms.
Different insect communities provide tasks that help the spider move closer to the rescue. Objects can be manipulated through physics, while the spider’s web and laser-like ability provide additional ways to interact with obstacles.
