About This Game:
Witch Hunt is a first-person horror game set in the eighteenth century, where the player becomes a hunter hired to deal with supernatural creatures terrorizing the area around the town of Bellville. Instead of a constant stream of enemies, the game focuses on tracking dangerous targets through large, dark wilderness areas.
Firearms, limited resources, occult abilities, and careful observation are all important. The creatures being hunted can move around the environment rather than waiting in fixed encounters, creating long periods of tension between brief and dangerous confrontations.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore forests, paths, abandoned structures, and other locations while searching for signs of the current target. Weapons include period firearms and other tools, but ammunition and healing resources are limited enough that careless fighting can make later encounters much harder.
Successful hunts provide money and progression that can improve the hunter’s capabilities. Supernatural senses and other abilities help locate threats, but understanding the environment and preparing before attacking are generally safer than simply chasing a creature blindly.
