Children of Silentown is a hand-drawn point-and-click adventure about Lucy, a young girl living in an isolated village surrounded by a forest that residents fear entering. Strange sounds emerge from the darkness every night, and people occasionally disappear, leaving Lucy increasingly determined to understand what exists beyond the village boundaries.
The story balances childhood routines and friendships with a darker mystery involving the adults’ rules, local traditions, and the creatures believed to inhabit the forest. Songs play an unusual role in both the story and puzzle mechanics.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore Silentown, speak with residents, collect objects, and combine inventory items to solve environmental puzzles. Lucy gradually learns different songs that can reveal memories, influence characters, or provide new ways to interact with situations.
