Cultivation Story: Reincarnation is a pixel-art action roguelite inspired by Chinese cultivation fantasy. Players enter dangerous randomized areas, defeat enemies, collect techniques and equipment, and gradually create a martial build capable of surviving increasingly difficult encounters.
Cultivation concepts are integrated into progression through skills, artifacts, elemental effects, and combinations that can transform the way a character fights. Runs encourage experimentation because the available upgrades and encounters change each time.
How the Gameplay Works
Combat takes place in real time from a top-down perspective, requiring attacks, movement, dodging, and careful positioning around groups of enemies. Weapons and techniques produce different attack patterns, allowing builds to emphasize close combat, ranged damage, or powerful effects.
Defeated enemies and completed encounters provide new choices that strengthen the character during the run. Synergy between techniques is especially valuable when later stages fill the screen with tougher enemies and bosses.
