Desperados 3 is a story-driven tactical stealth game set before the events of Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. The story follows a younger John Cooper as he joins forces with Doc McCoy, Kate O’Hara, Hector Mendoza, and Isabelle Moreau during a dangerous journey across the Wild West.
Each member of the group brings a completely different set of abilities, giving missions several possible solutions. Towns, ranches, swamps, riverbanks, industrial locations, and larger settlements become tactical playgrounds where players can choose between avoiding enemies, knocking them unconscious, creating accidents, or eliminating them directly.
How the Gameplay Works
Players observe enemy vision cones and patrol routes from an isometric view before sending individual characters into position. Cooper can throw knives and use revolvers, McCoy specializes in long-range attacks and medical tricks, Kate can disguise herself and distract guards, Hector relies on strength and traps, while Isabelle uses unusual abilities to manipulate enemies.
Showdown Mode pauses the action and allows several commands to be prepared for different characters. Once activated, the team carries out the planned sequence together, making it possible to remove several guards almost simultaneously. Missions support both lethal and non-lethal solutions and reward experimentation with different approaches.
