Desperados 2: Cooper’s Revenge is a Wild West real-time tactics game and sequel to Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. John Cooper returns alongside several companions as the group becomes involved in another dangerous story filled with outlaws, gunfighters, lawmen, and enemies spread across frontier settlements.
Unlike its predecessor, the sequel uses fully 3D environments and allows players to move between an adjustable isometric tactical view and a close third-person perspective. Missions visit dusty canyons, forts, ghost towns, wagon convoys, American Indian villages, and other locations associated with the Western setting.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control up to six different heroes, each equipped with their own weapons and specialized actions. The isometric view makes it easier to monitor patrols and coordinate the whole group, while third-person mode can be used during direct gunfights, brawls, and other close-range situations.
Stealth remains important, with characters able to sneak, hide, climb, swim, restrain enemies, and use specialized tools to create openings. The Quick Actions system allows several actions to be prepared in advance so multiple characters can perform coordinated moves at the right moment.
