Evil Dead: Regeneration is a third-person action game featuring Ash Williams in another fight against Deadites and supernatural creatures. The story follows its own alternate continuation of Evil Dead II and sends Ash through institutions, mines, forests, and other locations overrun by demonic enemies.
Ash is joined by Sam, a small Deadite companion whose unusual relationship with the hero becomes both a source of comedy and an important gameplay mechanic. Familiar weapons such as the chainsaw, shotgun, and boomstick-style firearms remain central to combat.
How the Gameplay Works
Players combine firearms with Ash’s chainsaw hand to cut through groups of enemies at close and medium range. Certain attacks weaken Deadites before they can be finished, while weapon upgrades expand Ash’s offensive options as the campaign continues.
Sam can be kicked or thrown into specific locations to activate mechanisms, distract enemies, or solve environmental obstacles. He repeatedly returns after being destroyed, allowing the game to use him in both combat and puzzle situations.
