About This Game:
Farthest Frontier is a survival city-building game where settlers attempt to establish a thriving town in an untamed wilderness. Starting with only a small group and limited supplies, players gather natural resources, create food sources, build homes and workshops, and gradually develop a settlement capable of supporting hundreds of residents.
The simulation places particular emphasis on agriculture, food preservation, disease, fertility, and resource availability. A successful settlement must also defend itself from raiders and other threats, meaning economic growth eventually needs to support walls, towers, soldiers, and other defensive infrastructure.
How the Gameplay Works
Villagers can gather wood, stone, clay, ore, berries, fish, meat, and other resources from the surrounding landscape. Production chains turn raw materials into tools, clothing, weapons, preserved food, and construction supplies. Buildings can be upgraded as the town reaches higher development levels.
Farming requires choosing crops and rotating them over multiple years to manage soil fertility, weeds, and disease. Food can spoil if storage and preservation are poor, while contaminated water or unhealthy conditions can spread illness. Defensive planning becomes increasingly important as wealthier settlements attract stronger raids.
