Fran Bow is a point-and-click psychological horror adventure following a young girl named Fran after the brutal loss of her parents. Separated from her beloved cat, Mr. Midnight, she finds herself inside a psychiatric institution and begins searching for a way to escape and understand what has happened.
The story moves between unsettling reality and a far more disturbing alternate view of the world. Its hand-drawn presentation mixes childlike imagery with dark subjects, strange creatures, and surreal environments.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore scenes, examine objects, collect inventory items, talk with characters, and combine clues to solve traditional adventure-game puzzles. Many problems require understanding how objects or information from different locations relate to one another.
Fran can use medication at certain points to reveal an alternate version of her surroundings. Objects, pathways, and characters may appear differently in this state, making switching between realities essential for solving puzzles and progressing through the story.
