About This Game:
Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary introduces players to Master Chief’s first major adventure on the mysterious Halo ring. After the UNSC Pillar of Autumn is attacked by Covenant forces, Chief and the artificial intelligence Cortana become involved in a desperate fight that eventually reveals a much greater danger hidden inside the ancient installation.

The campaign combines military science fiction, large outdoor environments, vehicle combat, alien structures, and increasingly dangerous enemies. The Anniversary version allows the classic campaign to be experienced with remastered presentation while retaining the fundamental gameplay of the original adventure.

How the Gameplay Works
Players carry two weapons at a time and frequently exchange them with firearms dropped by enemies or found around each level. Master Chief’s rechargeable energy shield restores after avoiding damage, while health and ammunition still need to be monitored during extended fights.

Warthogs, tanks, Covenant vehicles, and other machines appear throughout larger areas, allowing battles to shift between infantry and vehicle combat. The campaign can be played cooperatively, while multiplayer provides classic arena-style Halo competition across a selection of maps.
