About This Game:
Have a Nice Death is a 2D action roguelike where Death has become overwhelmed by paperwork because the departments of Death Incorporated are collecting far too many souls. To restore order, he leaves his office and travels through the company’s departments to confront the Sorrows responsible for the chaos.
The game combines hand-drawn animation and workplace humor with fast combat. Each run provides different weapons, spells, curses, and upgrades, allowing Death’s fighting style to change substantially between attempts.
How the Gameplay Works
Death uses his scythe alongside additional weapons and spells while dashing through enemies and avoiding attacks. Weapons can be upgraded during runs, and curses provide bonuses that may also introduce disadvantages depending on how the upgrade tree develops.
Departments contain combat rooms, shops, upgrade opportunities, minibosses, and major Sorrows at the end of important sections. Death returns to the office after being defeated, but persistent unlocks gradually expand the available equipment and options for later attempts.
