About This Game:
Phoenix Point is a tactical strategy game about rebuilding a secret global organization after humanity has been devastated by the Pandoravirus. Mutated creatures emerge from a spreading alien mist while several surviving human factions pursue very different visions for the future.
Players must manage the Phoenix Project on a global scale while personally commanding soldiers during dangerous tactical operations. Enemies adapt over the course of the campaign, creating new mutations and combat challenges.
How the Gameplay Works
The strategic layer involves exploring the globe, establishing bases, researching technology, manufacturing equipment, and negotiating with factions. Aircraft transport squads to scavenging sites, havens, nests, story missions, and other points of interest.
Combat uses action points and a manual aiming system that lets players target specific enemy limbs, weapons, and body parts. Destroying a limb may disable an attack or movement ability even if the enemy remains alive.
