About This Game:
Orcs Must Die! is an action tower-defense game where a young War Mage becomes responsible for defending magical rifts from invading Orc armies. Rather than watching defenses work from above, players enter the fortress themselves and fight alongside their traps.
The Game of the Year version includes the original campaign and additional content, providing more opportunities to experiment with the game’s combination of weapons, magic, traps, and environmental hazards.
How the Gameplay Works
Before waves begin, players place spike traps, arrow walls, swinging maces, spring traps, explosives, and other defenses along enemy routes. When Orcs enter, the War Mage can attack directly using weapons and spells.
Killing enemies earns resources for additional trap placement during a mission. Completing stages unlocks more equipment and upgrade skulls, encouraging players to replay maps with more efficient trap combinations.
