About This Game:
Rambo: The Video Game is an action shooter inspired by the first three Rambo films. Players relive major scenes from First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, and Rambo III while taking control of John Rambo during firefights, stealth sequences, and large action set pieces.
Rather than allowing free exploration through every level, much of the action follows an on-rails structure that automatically moves Rambo through environments while players concentrate on aiming, shooting, reloading, and reacting to incoming enemies.
How the Gameplay Works
Players aim at enemies as Rambo moves through predetermined routes and use machine guns, rifles, explosives, and other weapons to clear each encounter. Cover is handled automatically during many sections, while players decide when to fire, reload, or move out to attack.
Quick-time events appear during melee encounters and cinematic sequences, while stealth sections occasionally require quieter eliminations. Performance is graded at the end of missions, and upgrades allow Rambo’s abilities and combat effectiveness to improve as the campaign progresses.
