Sacred 2 Remaster brings the large open-world action RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel back with updated presentation, revised controls, technical improvements, and the previously released expansion content gathered into one package. The fantasy realm of Ancaria is being destabilized by T-Energy, an immensely powerful force that has become tied to political conflict, corruption, dangerous creatures, and competing factions.
Players choose from several heroes with very different combat styles and then set out across a large world filled with towns, wilderness, dungeons, quests, enemies, secrets, and mountains of equipment. Rather than following one narrow path, the structure encourages extensive exploration and character development while the player’s chosen hero becomes increasingly specialized through skills, combat arts, equipment, and upgrades.
How the Gameplay Works
Combat takes place in real time, with players combining normal attacks, character-specific combat arts, spells, buffs, and equipment bonuses. Enemies constantly drop weapons, armor, and other loot, making equipment comparison and character building an important part of progression. Different heroes support very different approaches ranging from close-range fighting to ranged or magical builds.
Ancaria can be explored freely between story missions and hundreds of optional quests. Experience increases the hero’s level, while new skills and improved abilities allow more specialized builds. The remaster introduces a modernized interface, full controller support, enhanced textures, improved lighting and view distance, smoother combat, stability improvements, and the expansions previously released for Sacred 2.
