SCARF is a peaceful 3D puzzle-platforming adventure about a mysterious character traveling through beautiful worlds alongside a living red scarf. The scarf takes the form of a dragon-like companion and gradually provides abilities that help the protagonist move through the environment and uncover the story behind the strange world.
Rather than building the experience around combat, SCARF focuses on exploration, movement, environmental puzzles, and discovering the history hidden across its colorful landscapes. Optional exploration can also reveal additional information and influence how the journey concludes.
How the Gameplay Works
Players run and jump through 3D environments while solving puzzles that open routes to new areas. As the scarf gains additional forms, it provides traversal abilities such as gliding, extended jumps, and other methods of crossing gaps or reaching distant platforms.
Collectibles and hidden locations encourage players to explore away from the direct route. There is no traditional combat system, keeping attention on platforming and figuring out how each scarf ability can be used to move through the world.
