Sky Force Reloaded is an arcade-style vertical shooter built around fast aerial combat, repeatable missions, and permanent aircraft upgrades. Players pilot a combat plane through heavily defended stages filled with enemy fighters, gunships, turrets, missiles, and large bosses while collecting stars and rescuing stranded civilians.
Rather than treating each level as a simple one-time challenge, the game encourages repeated runs through the same missions at higher difficulty levels. Collected stars can be spent on improvements such as stronger weapons, better armor, missiles, and other aircraft systems, gradually making previously difficult objectives easier to complete.
How the Gameplay Works
The aircraft automatically moves forward through vertically scrolling stages while players steer around incoming fire and keep their weapons trained on enemy targets. Missions contain several optional objectives, including destroying a percentage of enemies, rescuing civilians, surviving without taking damage, and collecting enough stars.
Completing objectives earns medals that unlock additional difficulty settings and new stages. Between missions, stars are invested into permanent upgrades, while collectible cards can provide further bonuses. Boss encounters place a greater emphasis on learning attack patterns and finding safe openings between dense groups of projectiles.
