SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION brings together a selection of classic Bomberman adventures from the series’ 16-bit era in one modern package. The collection contains seven titles represented through twelve regional versions, including officially localized editions of Super Bomberman 4 and Super Bomberman 5. Players can revisit traditional story stages, multiplayer battles, bosses, and the distinctive pixel-art worlds of the original releases.
Additional features have been included to make the older games easier to explore on modern hardware. A dedicated Boss Rush option provides another way to challenge major enemies, while support functions and library content give longtime fans more ways to revisit the history of the series.
How the Gameplay Works
Traditional Bomberman stages take place on grid-based maps filled with walls, enemies, obstacles, and destructible blocks. Players place bombs that explode after a short delay, sending blasts horizontally and vertically across the grid. Destroyed blocks can reveal power-ups that increase bomb range, allow additional bombs to be placed, or provide other useful abilities.
Multiplayer battles use the same basic mechanics but turn every bomb into a potential trap for another player. Positioning, timing, and predicting where opponents will move are essential for survival. The included games also feature their original single-player adventures, boss encounters, and variations on the familiar Bomberman formula.
