About This Game:
The Last Spell is a tactical roguelite where a small group of heroes protects a town while surviving nightly attacks from enormous hordes of monsters. Humanity’s attempt to end magic has covered the world in a deadly mist, and the remaining defenders must protect mages performing the ritual needed to cast one final spell.
Every cycle is divided between daytime preparation and nighttime combat. During the day players repair defenses, construct buildings, equip heroes, and manage the settlement; after night falls, waves of enemies approach from several directions.
How the Gameplay Works
Battles use turn-based movement on a grid, with heroes spending action and movement points to attack large groups of enemies. Weapons determine available skills, allowing characters to specialize in melee attacks, bows, guns, magic, or combinations of several styles.
Between attacks, workers gather resources and buildings provide equipment, recruits, healing, defenses, or economic improvements. Procedural character traits, randomized gear, unlockable upgrades, and escalating maps make each campaign develop differently.
