About This Game:
Timberborn is a colony-building simulation set in a world where humanity has disappeared and intelligent beavers have become the dominant civilization. The environment is regularly affected by severe droughts and other dangerous conditions, making control of water one of the most important parts of keeping a settlement alive.
Beavers can reshape the landscape with dams, canals, reservoirs, platforms, and other large engineering projects. Settlements can also grow vertically, allowing buildings and pathways to be stacked into dense communities when suitable land becomes limited.
How the Gameplay Works
Players assign beavers to gather wood, grow food, manufacture materials, operate machinery, and construct new buildings. Rivers can be manipulated using dams and water-control structures so enough water remains available when dry periods arrive.
As the colony becomes more advanced, players can terraform terrain, expand irrigation, construct larger water systems, and develop increasingly efficient production chains. Population needs and available working hours must also be balanced alongside food, water, housing, and industrial expansion.
